PILE RUG N° 357 AM
A highly unique pile rug, 1980s-90s, exact region unknown, with a strong design of high artistic value. Although not old, its composition bears comparison to old Rehamna rugs, and it clearly makes reference to motifs seen in such older examples. This rug was found in Amizmiz, about 55km south of Marrakech, and most probably stems from a nearby region. On one hand, it is an absolutely unique piece. On the other hand, it shows several typical characteristics from various regions in Morocco.
